ISC/UFC Security Consulting Services

Applying the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Interagency Security Committee (ISC) Physical Security Criteria for Federal Facilities or the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings to new construction or existing facility upgrades requires experienced professionals capable of addressing the complex issues associated with these projects.

ARA is a recognized leader in design of facilities to mitigate risks posed by advanced threats. This is evidenced by our ISC- and UFC-related projects for numerous federal agencies, architects, and developers. We strive to provide best value solutions that meet the intent of these criteria.

As an early contributor to the ISC, ARA understands the intent of the documents and their application. In addition to our ISC work, ARA has provided services to meet the UFC standards and has authored the UFC document “Design of Buildings to Resist Progressive Collapse,” UFC 4-023-03.

ARA provides security professionals with years of experience in security engineering, security risk management, chemical/biological/radiological effects, and software support tools.

ARA’s board certified staff of security professionals provide a comprehensive knowledge base to train and educate stakeholders in the requirements of the ISC and UFC criteria. These subject matter experts provide a depth of understanding necessary to implement these standards in a real-world environment.
