Combat Medic

Combat Medic is a state-of-the-art training and simulation tool designed for medical education.
Brought to you by the Virtual Heroes division of ARA, Combat Medic uses a 3D, collaborative virtual world accessible from any internet-connected computer. The trainer was build using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine and Virtual Heroes’ extensible GO Platform.
The Combat Medic environment includes learning modules customized to medic needs. Specifically, the simulation addresses the top three injuries associated with preventable deaths on the modern battlefield: hemorrhage, airway management, and tension pneumothorax. Combat Medic also supports a multi-player mode for a more collaborative experience.
Combat Medic was originally developed for the Army Research Lab STTC and the Army Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC).
