Compact Range Measurements

Antennas are everywhere and the need to measure their properties and optimize their performance in a real-world environment is increasingly important. ARA’s indoor compact range provides an EM testbed to meet this demand through traditional characterization methods and tailored measurement solutions. In addition to characterizing antennas, ARA brings decades of experience to the measurement and analysis of EM scattering. The ARA compact range has design features, hardware, and signal processing schemes that make it especially suited for the most sensitive EM scattering measurements.

ARA’s Compact Range is a dual reflector collimation system designed to measure antenna properties and radar target scattering features from 6-100 GHz. Employing the latest techniques in RF measurement facility construction, the Compact Range is flexible enough to handle unique real-time research measurements or batch-oriented acceptance testing.
