WEBINAR

Traffic Speed Deflection Device (TSDD) Data Quality Assessment and Applications

How can we better understand TSDD data?

This question has been a recurring challenge for many state agencies, pavement engineers, practitioners, and researchers, and it remains not fully resolved. Unlike the traditional deflection basin data obtained from the Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), the real challenge with Traffic Speed Deflection Device (TSDD) lies in interpreting the raw (measured) deflection slopes.

Join this webinar to gain insights into a practical approach for quality assessment and data interpretation of TSDD data. The session will not only enhance understanding of the unique nature of TSDD measurements but also demonstrate strategies to maximize the potential applications of TSDD data.

Key Presentation Topics:

  • Fundamentals of TSDD measurements and data characteristics
  • Quality assessment approach for raw deflection slope data
  • Practical case studies from state DOTs and research initiatives
  • Opportunities for advancing pavement evaluation and management through TSDD
