VTAK: Virtual Tactical Assault Kit
- VTAK (Virtual Tactical Assault Kit) is an innovative Virtual Reality (VR) tool for improved mission planning and rehearsal and better situational awareness.
- ARA designed the tool to help today’s military operators train as they fight. VTAK’s software enables them to do so, ingesting real-world geo-registered terrain data to create collaborative, geographically accurate 3D environments. In addition, VTAK focuses on interoperating new training solutions with existing ones, significantly reducing the learning curve for Soldiers in the field.
- Soldiers and mission planners experience VTAK via the immersive, intuitive virtual interface of VR controllers and a headset.
- VTAK is being developed the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
