Security Risk Assessments of USDA ARS Facilities
The U.S. Department of Agriculture required security risk assessments of its research facilities in the Mid-South Region. These facilities do not fall under the management of the General Services Administration (GSA) and are therefore USDA’s responsibility to assess and secure.
ARA performed security risk assessments of ARS facilities located in the Mid-South Region in 2002 and was asked to perform a periodic reassessment of those facilities in 2007. ARA assessed ARS facilities in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee.
ARA provided a risk assessment report identifying the risks posed to the facilities and the recommended physical and operational countermeasures to mitigate those risks.
