Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) required a licensed civil engineer with knowledge and experience of standard civil engineering practices to provide professional quality, technical accuracy, and coordination on designs, drawings, and other contract documents.  Given the United States Naval Academy’s (USNA’s) prestige and visibility, it required that civil engineering work performed on and around the fully-operational military is correct and executed seamlessly.

Throughout the course of the contract, ARA delivered high quality engineering support to NAVFAC Capital Improvements program.

Examples of Civil Engineering Work performed:

  • Design Management: Full design of specific projects including seawalls, roads, walls, and storm water management, including technical drawings and specifications.
  • Construction Management: Quality assurance that final product is as designed. Overseeing projects and providing direction to contractors.
  • Developing Contracts and RFPs: Writing contracts for studies, design-build, design-bid-build contracts.
  • Cost Estimates: Developing government cost estimates for pre-design, post-design, and during construction.

Our team ensured that capital improvements to the USNA and Naval Support Activity Annapolis were well-designed, properly constructed, and executed seamlessly.
