Turner-Fairbank Promotional Video

Challenge

The Federal Highway Administration’s Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) asked ARA to create a 5-minute video based on a 44-page booklet titled “Telling the R&T Story.” Our goals was to explain the importance of what happens at the TFHRC to the general public and encourage Congress to continue funding research.     

Solution

A well-written, concise script was the backbone of this project. We then incorporated a wide variety of indoor and outdoor video featuring springtime shots as well as photos and an on-camera host to keep it interesting and inviting for any audience. Small text on the screen helps viewers keep up with the challenges being discussed. An upbeat pace, music, and pops of natural sound such as the concrete sample test, make this video one that audiences will want to watch all the way through.

Impact

Besides helping our client accomplish their goals, this video won a Telly award and a gold American Advertising Association ADDY award.
