Feedstocks

The Biofuels ISOCONVERSION process converts non-edible oil (triglyceride) or free fatty acid directly into high-density aromatic, cycloparaffin, paraffin and isoparaffin hydrocarbons that are ideal for true "next generation" drop-in jet and diesel fuels.

Overview

The Biofuels ISOCONVERSION process converts any fat, oil, or grease into high-density aromatic, cycloparaffin, paraffin and isoparaffin hydrocarbons that meet petroleum specifications for drop-in jet and diesel fuels without blending with petroleum.

ARA has produced 100% drop-in diesel meeting D975 specs and jet fuel meeting D1655 specs from many different feedstocks including:

Carinata Oil                       Soybean Oil                       Jatropha Oil

Canola Oil                         Peanut Oil                          Tung Oil

Camelina Oil                     Pongamia Oil                     Brown Grease

Castor Oil                         Distillers-grain Corn Oil      Yellow Grease

Tall Oil                              Shea Butter                        Chicken Tallow

Algal Oil                            Microbial Oil                       Beef Tallow

Fatty Acid Distillate          Used Cooking Oil               Palm Oil

Soap Stock                      Acid Oil

Biofuels ISOCONVERSION processes feedstocks with any percentage of free fatty acids, phospholipids, and other inorganic content so long as the feedstock can be fine filtered prior to processing.
