ARA Staff Gear Up For Falling Weight Deflectometer Users Group Meeting
Some ARA engineers are helping organize the upcoming Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) Users Group 27th Annual Meeting and are encouraging others to join the event.
The meeting takes place Sept. 9 to 11 in Boise, Idaho at Boise State University. The Idaho Department of Transportation and Boise State University sponsor the event.
“The meeting offers an excellent opportunity for information exchange, and if you have any questions about FWD equipment, data collection or analysis, you can most likely get them answered,” said Dave Hein, a Principal Engineer and Vice President at ARA.
Organizers are soliciting informal presentations on all topics related to Falling Weight Deflectometer and Rolling Wheel/Travelling Speed Deflectometer use, lightweight deflectometer use, integrated data collection with other technology including GPS, ground penetrating radar, video imaging, data analysis, back-calculation, equipment calibration and maintenance, and personnel training.
If you have information to share, please join us at the upcoming annual meeting. For more information and to register, visit http://fwdug.org/.
