ARA Honored as One of the Top 100 Privately Held Companies in New Mexico


NM Private 100 2014Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) was recognized this week at the New Mexico Private 100 annual event that celebrates New Mexico’s private sector business successes. According to the Albuquerque Journal, the honorees cover many diverse fields and represent a combined $3.9 billion in annual revenue and more than 10,027 jobs in New Mexico.

"The success of our community depends upon the vitality of our private-business sector,” said Lynn Slade, Marketing Partner at Modrall Sperling law firm. “These are the people that support the well-being of our community."

ARA was founded in Albuquerque in 1979 and has grown steadily. The company employs over 1,000 people in Albuquerque, across the U.S. and in Canada. ARA first appeared on the NM Private 100 list in 1989, and is ranked as the number four company in 2014. New Mexico is home to the ARA’s corporate headquarters as well as the Southwest Division Office and the Shock Physics Division, which is based at Kirtland AFB.

Honorees were recognized at a luncheon and awards ceremony on November 17 attended by ARA Shock Physics Division Manager, Robert Couch and Marketing Director, Ellen Gallegos.
