ARA Adds Trident Consulting Group

     Albuquerque, NM February 15, 2007 — Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) formally announced today the asset purchase of Trident Consulting Group, Inc. (TCG), a small consulting firm located in Huntsville, AL, since 1999.  The acquisition was formally completed on December 21, 2006 with the former TCG employees becoming ARA employees on January 4, 2007.  Timothy W. Moore, Michael P. Charness, and Jean Sabourin now form the Trident Group of ARA's Southern Division and Security Engineering and Applied Sciences Sector, headquartered in Vicksburg, MS.  The Trident Group's primary business will continue to be high fidelity, special engineering analyses for US Government clients.

      Timothy W. Moore, who formerly served as President and CEO of TCG, is excited about becoming a part of ARA.  Tim is eager to work with other ARA offices, divisions, and sectors to support projects by utilizing the unique capabilities his office has to offer.  He also believes the Trident Group can now expand their offerings to existing clients by taking advantage of the diverse talents and capabilities across ARA.

      Trident Consulting Group was the first company in the United States to acquire the Gas Dynamics Tool (GDT) from the GDT Software Group in Tula, Russia.  The GDT software is used for the numerical simulation of gas-dynamical processes to include jet flows, internal/external aerodynamics, ballistics, combustion and detonation.
