Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs)

ARA’s unmanned ground systems include Pointman, a compact, highly mobile ground robot and a variety of tracked and wheeled commercial construction vehicles equipped with ARA’s Modular Robotic Control System (MRCS).  Pointman is designed for rapid deployment and “eyes on” surveillance and reconnaissance.  MRCS equipped platforms are equipped to deal with a variety of EOD tasks, as well as any other tasks that require a long stand off distance, excellent visual acuity, and ability to use a variety of tools (robotic arm, disrupter, sensor suites, etc.).

Pointman Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle (SUGV)

ARA engineers have developed Pointman, a Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle (SUGV) for teleoperated use. It is able to climb and descend stairs, rocks, and rubble up to 11 inches in height. This small, agile robot has the ability to operate as a stand-alone robot (man packable), or as a mission module (marsupial). >Learn more
