Vertek, a division of Applied Research Associates, Inc., has over 25 years of research and development experience in building and developing new Cone Penetrometer Technology or CPT. Our facility in Randolph, VT houses R&D, manufacturing, rock mechanics, and soil testing capabilities along with a 50 acre test ground. These capabilities, coupled with our engineers' and technicians' expertise has helped to cement our place as one of the leading CPT companies in the world.
Vertek manufactures CPT platforms (tracked and wheeled), CPT tools (cones & data acquisition systems), handheld data logging DCP systems, automated dynamic cone penetrometers and CPT environmental modules such as fuel fluorescence detectors.

Vertek has expanded its environmental product offerings to now include a percussive capable LED induced fluorescence (LIF) Fuel Fluorescence Detection probe that can be used to find aromatic hydrocarbons in the ground. This new probe now offers a substantial cost savings to the alternative at about 1/5 the cost of our competitors system. We have also built a series of UV Ultraviolet Spotlights for detection of surface contamination or field analysis of ground samples.
