XY Plots
XYPlot is a standalone application for displaying data in a simple 2D format. Up to four data sets can be displayed in a single plot. Figure 1 shows an example of a plot resulting from three data sets. XYPlot gives the CEM Framework user an easy and efficient way of generating simple plots without having to invoke an "outside" program. Moreover, the input file format of this tool is simple enough that the Framework user can easily write data formatters to pre-process data from other applications for use by XYPlot. The plot can be exported to either a PNG or JPEG graphic by a right click in the plot window. XYPlot also allows the user to change parameters such as plot color, pend width, label display, major and minor tic marks, and minimum and maximum field values. Figure 2 illustrates a Component View output from the FFT2IFFT map that comes with the program. This output is the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) of a pulse waveform.
Polar Plots
Polar Plot is a standalone application for displaying up to four data streams in a simple polar (circular) plot. Figure 3 shows two data streams in a fully-decorated Polar Plot window. Polar Plot gives the CEM Framework user an easy and efficient way of generating simple plots without having to invoke an "outside" program. Moreover, the input file format of this tool is simple enough that the Framework user can easily write data formatters to pre-process data from other applications for use by Polar Plot. The plot can be exported to either a PNG or JPEG graphic by a right click in the plot window. Polar Plot also allows the user to change parameters such as plot color, pen width, label display, major and minor tic marks, Rmin, and Rmax fields.
