Units and field teams that are deployed to transient locations need an added layer of protection for perimeter and border protection. 

ARA has developed a portable, wireless motion sensing IR illumination detection system which is deployed rapidly and with ease to provide immediate perimeter security.

The system also permits day perimeter security by allowing the user to turn off the IR illuminator which conserves battery power.

Rapidly Deployable and Portable

The system is composed of 4 nodes and a single handheld remote.  All devices are battery powered and easily transportable in a briefcase-sized Pelican case.

IR/Illumination Node

The IR/Illumination Node senses motion and triggers the IR illuminator on illuminating the area containing the offending target.

Motion sensing envelope for the system is approximately 21m x 21m.  IR illumination envelope for the system is approximately 70m x 20m.

Handheld Remote

The handheld remote provides a single interface for the system with two-way communication between each node and the remote.  The remote notifies the user of a perimeter intrusion from any of the 4 nodes.  The user also has the capability to force the IR illuminator on for a particular node illuminating the surrounding area.
