DOT Security Consulting

Problem Statement and Objectives

The General Services Administration (GSA) managed the design and construction of a build-to-lease project for the Headquarters Building of the Department of Transportation (DOT).
 
ARA provided:
  • security systems consulting support, and
  • design review of the building shell build-out for security related issues.

ARA closely coordinated the support provided with the tenant fit-out to facilitate design compatibility and appropriate interface. ARA coordinated production and preparation of security drawings and other documents.

 
Additional ARA support was requested for security consulting support for design and construction of the DOT HQ building interior electronic security systems.

Results and Benefits

ARA provided the GSA/DOT the design and installation of electronic and physical security systems to provide the level of protection required by the DOT.
