Problem Statement and Objectives

The Denver International Airport requested help with blast analysis, assessment, and engineering in order to protect people from the effects of blast debris and fragments from explosive attacks.

Results and Benefits

The ARA team developed a system that requires not only the detection of explosives intended to board aircraft, but also considers bombs directed at key aviation facilities such as TRACONs, Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC), and the nation’s airports.
