The first app for iPhone and iPod touch from Applied Research Associates has been developed. The Bomb Threat Stand-off application integrates a street/satellite hybrid map with Department of Homeland Security guidelines for evacuation and shelter distances for a variety of bomb threats.

First-responders and other emergency personnel can specify the coordinates of the threat or use their device's current location to determine safe distances in an emergency. The Bomb Threat Stand-off app will be available for purchase in summer 2011.
