ARA is in its third decade of providing pavement engineering services for roadways, airfields, parking areas, and intermodal facilities. We serve hundreds of municipal, state, federal, military, and private organizations worldwide.
ARA staff members are recognized internationally for their expertise in pavement performance modeling, pavement evaluation, mechanistic-empirical pavement design, paving materials, mix design, and life cycle cost analysis. Our research and training projects keep us at the cutting edge of technology, and our consulting efforts keep us in touch with real-world concerns. The combined knowledge allows ARA to use the latest technology to develop cost-effective, practical solutions for our customers' pavement-related needs.
As a testament to our capabilities, the National Cooperative Research Program (NCHRP) entrusted ARA to develop the new Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) which represents the next generation of pavement design procedures and is expected to be adopted by transportation agencies worldwide. In addition, the U.S. Air Force entrusted ARA to oversee the reconstruction of runways at Grand Forks AFB and Dover AFB. |
