ARA leverages our expertise in traffic monitoring, sensor development, data management, and safety and security to design and install Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) that make transportation networks safer, more efficient, more reliable, and more environmentally responsible.
ARA designs and installs advanced sensor, control, and communication systems to collect, analyze, and process the data needed to address traffic congestion and transportation safety.
We integrate our analyses with motorist advisory (511) systems to provide up-to-date information for making travel-related decisions.
In the area of homeland security, ARA develops and implements sensors to detect radiological threats being transported at highway speeds. These sensors are fused with real-time command-control systems that alert the community and identify, track, and interdict the threat.
To support future planning, we create data reports that map traffic use patterns to determine pavement and traffic improvement scenarios and future budgetary requirements. We also support our clients with public policy expertise and cost/benefit analyses prior to project design and implementation.
